day 5 and 6
Day 5: Salzburg-Bad Ischl-Linz
Late wake up
Small tour in a very nice old-city, but definetly too crowded...
For those who like Mozart you can buy everything with his name there....
But the best-part of Salzburg, it's driving in, or more exactly driving out.... 1H.... to find the road that we wanted. Signs are as big as a packet of cigarets and they are only on the crossroad that you have to go straight, so if they disappear: TURN, on which side ????? WE LOVED IT ...
Then 2 hours driving in Bad ischl area with wonderful lakes, to finally arrive in Linz.
Angelina and her artist soul really enjoyed that city, yellow old-style buildings used by banks with Blue and red signs everywhere over.... Or a wonderful pink building next to the Danube....
Day 6: Danuve Valley - Vienna
Certainly the biggest surprise of our trip, at least for the moment.
We followed the Danube from Lienz to Kerms, but we really didn't expect to see such things on that road.
First, there are castles, abbeys everywhere along the road, but at MELK, there is THE abbey. It's just very very very big, and very very very nice.... Check on internet ;)
Then we met her small sister few kilometers later, next to Kerms, it's smaller and less beautiful, but more impressive, due to the fact it is on the top of a hill.
Finally, we reached vienna, met Clemens and went out for a vienna by night walk, with a stop at Vienna's movie festival, they were showing a symphony of Mahler in front of the Rathaus.
